chocolateboxcomm assignment, I started playing Long Live the Queen again last month - I'd uninstalled the game a while back, so I bought a new copy, downloaded it again, installed it again ... and had all my previous deaths and achievements show up again.
I felt kind of disappointed not to be able to start fresh, but ah well. (At another time, I'm pretty sure I'd have been thrilled not to have to get them all over again, so *shrug*.)
Since I'm still on my Game of Thrones rewatch, I tried a few playthroughs as GoT characters - Sansa made it to her coronation with hardly any trouble, but Stannis didn't survive past the ball where he promptly got skewered by Banion. (Deservedly so?) In fairness, I opted not to make Stannis take on Julianna as a substitute for Melisandre - that probably would've given him a bit more of a fighting chance.
Books - I started Aliette de Bodard's The House of Shattered Wings but dropped it after a hundred pages or so, because it turns out I'm not actually interested in stuff to do with angels (fallen or otherwise) right now. There also didn't seem to be much levity or humor or anything that made me feel positive things, so. I might pick it up again later, but probably not.
I breezed through Taylor Jenkins Reid's Daisy Jones & the Six which was not as much fun as I'd hoped. Part of it was my expectations of the book (a fun, occasionally serious book about a singer and her rockband and their rise and fall - Bold as Love meets Rock of Ages (movie, not musical) except with no threesome, probably) being a bit off from the actual contents of the book (a mostly serious, occasionally fun book about a rockband and the singer they briefly work together with before it all comes apart because drugs are bad and keeping his marriage alive by staying sober and not cheating on his wife is Super Important to this character). I still enjoyed the book, but I'm not sure I'll actually keep it.
