is it yuletide yet? how about now?

By the look of it, I'm two-out-of-three for Yuletide requests (I have two gifts! and they're for different fandoms!) but there are as many as four fics tagged with one of my requested characters so ... I have five gifts? (Three of them just aren't for me, specifically.)

Gah. I'm usually busy trying to write a last-minute treat during the last week before reveals, but now that I've shaken my gifts, I just want to read them.

Rewatched S1 of Killjoys a second time - skipped the vivisection episode (it happens off-screen, but I'm a wuss), did stick around for the creepy abanoned ship episode, because it's got some cute/awesome team moments and I was feeling brave.

Hm. Haven't really read or watched anything else lately that wasn't somewhat Yuletide related, so I guess this will be a short post.

Anyone who hasn't gotten fic-or-treated yet will (hopefully/ideally) get a reply next year. Or so goes my early new year's resolution. Er.

While I'm also enjoyed the Big Story of S2, I like the 'case-of-the-week' mood of S1, with a few bonus bigger plot points (D'avin's memory issues, Dutch's Khlyen issues, Johnny's ability to care).

I think I used to be better about patiently waiting for all to be revealed on Christmas morning. ^^;

LOL. Waiting. WAITING IS HARD. I mean, the time between now and then is going to fly, I have so much crap to get done, but still. WAITING IS HARD.

I know what fandom I got (not surprised, the other two are never matched), what length it is and vaguely what the premise is because I saw a request for beta on the discord chat forum.

Only having a bit of time to write each day (waking up before my alarm, getting up and going and sitting in a cafe in town with a coffee before work) and am enjoying writing tiny treats in my fave fandom with lots of fab characters and stories.

Whoa. I'm not sure that I'd want to know quite that much; I shook for fandom and characters/relationships, but I'd rather everything else be a surprise.

All my colleagues are mad for days off in between Christmas and New Year's, so I got a fair number of days off to write stuff. (I don't think that I could even write in a place with other people around.)

I would rather not known, but not too fazed. I get lots of joy out of reading a range of fics at yuletide.

I cannot write at home with family and pets and TV distracting me - strangers I can tune out. Yay for your having time off :)

The creepy abandoned ship episode is right creepy! I dunno why every sci-fi shows is obligated to have one, apparently, but they always get to me...

Isn't it? It doesn't help that I always get suckered at first into thinking that hey, maybe this will be a nice abandoned ship. And then the bad things start happening.
