Picked up Molly's Game from the library last week because it had Idris Elba in it and was written by Aaron Sorkin (who also wrote The West Wing, Moneyball and The Social Network, all of which I enjoyed). I was hoping for fun, charming and quirky with a touch of heartwarming, but it didn't really deliver on any of that. I think it was all in on 'heartwarming', except that it missed that for me, so.
(I watched Moneyball about five times last year, and would be happy to watch it again right here, right now. In spite of the fact that I neither know nor care about baseball, there's just something about that movie that works for me and make me Feel Things.)
