Megamind is still the only movie I've ever seen where misprounouncing a city's name carries near-fatal consequences.

It's also definitely the fluffiest, funniest portrayal of What Happens When the Bad Guy Wins. (Short answer: he has fun for a couple of days, but then ennui sets in and he mopes around, being bored, bored, bored.)

My rewatch of The West Wing has reached the fourth season, and I've realized that I really, really ship Sam and Ainsley, even though it would probably never work out. (Also: Toby/Sam. And maybe Josh/Sam, although that's more a case of 'well, they're old friends and both fun characters, so why not?'.)

It's fun to see the guest stars, though - thus far, I've spotted Gibbs from NCIS, Sarah Ross from RED and Agent Coulson from the MCU. (He's an agent on TWW, too. Of course.) Also: Ian McShane, who I don't think of as any specific character, but just as ... Ian McShane?

My copy of Connie Willis's latest novel Crosstalk arrived some days ago. Looking forwards to reading it, although it might be another couple of months.

Megamind is adorable. ♥ One of the few movies the kids watched on repeat when I was a treatment counselor that I actually enjoyed.

Sam/Toby is totally my ship, but I like Josh/Sam and Toby/Josh too.

Well, at seven seasons of 20-ish hours each, it's not exactly a series to binge-watch in a weekend. (I uh have yet to make it past the fourth season. Which, conveniently, is where my second favorite character is put on a bus, so ...).

Toby/Josh hasn't yet happened for me, but Sam's just left, so who knows? (I uh only recently acquired season four, so up until now, my rewatches only covered the first three seasons. ^^)

I wish the AO3 had already existed when this show aired - there's some Sam/Toby fic on there, but (my greedy self feels) not nearly enough.

Awwww. I tried watching the first few episodes and just couldn't get into it. I've found I don't necessarily like political television. :/

Fair enough - possibly even more than fair, given that this is definitely 100% a show about politic(ian)s, so if that's not your cup of tea, that's not your cup of tea. ^_^

Ha! I think mine was when, to Sam, Toby is all growly and angry, but then, in front of the President, he's all 'This was not Sam's fault and I will die on this hill standing by this statement'. (I've forgotten the context, but ... I had a lot of feelings during that scene.)

I didn't even make it to season 3 of VEEP, and that's pretty much as political satire as possible, versus trying to be serious. I think I deal with too much politics in real life. :/
